Who may apply

The Trust considers applications from groups and organisations carrying out their activities in the Wellington region. This includes Kapiti District, Porirua, Wellington and the Hutt Valley.
The groups we fund are active in our communities in areas such as youth, welfare, education, art, culture, sport and recreation.
To apply, your group should be:

• an incorporated society
• a registered charitable trust.

and the project needs to assist The Community Trust of Wellington to advance one or more of its goals.

 
Joint applications

We welcome joint applications from groups working towards a common goal.

Eligible projects

Projects that are not generally eligible include:

• commercial ventures
• a capital fund, or debt reduction
• completed projects
• promotion or benefit of an individual
• the promotion of a message rather than the provision of an activity or service.
